A book box is a rectangular shrink box with a sliding dovetail as a lid. It has shallow relief carving on the outside.

It is a complex and interesting task to make a book box. Drilled with and T-auger in green condition. Carved and then attaching a dry bottom in a groove. Let dry and make the sliding lid. Decorate, paint and there it is!
